Hi, my name is Wayne Eddy.
I live in Bundaberg, Australia, which is located about 400km north of Brisbane.
I am a Civil Engineer & I work for Bundaberg Regional Council as Manager Assets.
For the last year I have been working on the Local Government & Municipal Knowledge Base a wiki designed to help Australian Local Governments share knowledge & information.
I have been playing tennis for about twenty years and have set up a website for the Bundaberg & District Tennis Association.
I used to read a lot of Science Fiction, and some of my favorite authors include; Vernor Vinge, David Brin, Peter F Hamilton, Iain M Banks, Greg Egan, Larry Niven & Jerry Pournelle.
I taught myself C++ about 20 years ago, but I have only really ever worked on one project - The Atlas of Habitable Worlds - which I haven't worked on recently, but I might go back to one day.
Lastly I am die-hard Richmond Supporter, for the 99.9% of the world population that that means nothing to, Richmond is an Australian Rules Football Club, also known as the Tigers. Unfortunately we haven't won a flag since 1980, but there is always next year.....
