Soil erosion
Removed entry about soil erosion.
'Wheat' wrote: "Soil erosion. Depletion of the high quality soil required for growing crops has been the downfall of past civilizations."
It is certainly a good point and I can well believe this could have been the downfall of past civilisations, but we have the technological capability already to cope if this became a widescale problem. Examples are ramping up industrial production of fertilisers and we already have the machinery to spread it on the land, vertical farming, hydroponics and mariculture .
