Despite common perceptions and rising oil prices, energy available to mankind in absolute terms is not in short supply at all, it simply seems that way due to limitations imposed by current economic frameworks.
These are some of the major sources of energy available to us, in no particular order and not including fossil fuels that we currently rely on for the majority of our energy today:
